The Duesenberg was the fastest American production car until the mid-1950s, when it was surpassed by the Chrysler 300 series. Carole Lombard gave this JN to Clark Gable, who had it restyled. After Lombard's death, Clark left the car in Canada, ordering that it never be seen in California while he was alive.
